Giving three cheers! The Dutch tall ship ‘Artemis’ will grace the Hanseatic City of Rostock for four months. Measuring 59 metres long, the ‘goddess of the hunt’ with her main mast standing 31 metres high and a sail surface of 1050 m², will be mooring in the German Hanseatic city from 28 October 2014 expected to sail 28 February 2015. The ‘Artemis’ barque was built 1926 in Norway, was converted into a freight ship in the fifties and sailed the seas between South America and Asia up until the nineties. In 2001, the three-masted barque has been completely restored including a comfortable and stylish interior design. ‘Artemis’ has her home port in Harlingen now and is owned by the Frisian Tall Ship Company, which offers tall ship voyages on the ‘White beauty’ sailing the Baltic Sea or through the Danish archipelago. Day charters are organized for up to 120 guests and if you would like to stay overnight, ‘Artemis’ is the perfect choice for a special maritime experience.
