Gaastra Pro is the official technical clothing supplier of the Dutch Team Brunel and proud to support the eight-man crew led by Dutch top-notch sailor Bouwe Bekking during world’s most demanding yacht race. ‘With this cooperation, a dream has come true’, says Marc Blees, Managing Director of Gaastra Pro. The 12th edition of the challenging circumnavigation will start on October 4th in Alicante, Spain, and will finish in Gothenburg, Sweden, in June 2015 after nine offshore legs between eleven ports. Team Brunel fully geared up in Gaastra Pro sailing clothing and the other six competing crews will face temperature variations from -5 to +40 degrees Celsius and wind speeds of up to 60 knots and wave heights of up to 30 m, especially in the South Pacific.
