Alongside the contemporary art short film starring Rutger Hauer as The Flying Dutchman, a Gaastra Fashion shoot was done by the prominent photographer Bryan Adams capturing Mr. Hauer as the legendary Frisian Captain. Suiting season’s 2014 autumn fashion theme ‘The Legendary Season’, Bryan Adams’ photographs portray Golden Globe winner Rutger Hauer in an authentic way telling this nautical, legendary story. The campaign pictures have been taken off LA coast on the historic 82′ schooner yacht Curlew. View the complete Legendary Season’s Flying Dutchman Lookbook here!

You mention it was you first time modelling, what message do you wish to get across in this campaign?
Rutger Hauer: „Basically 2 things were proposed, one of them was modelling the clothes that Gaastra is making and the other part was the sailing gear. I am not a fan of models, so I really was trying to get things like they look like for real. It’s all an illusion that is the funny part, but I guess it is also the craft. My main goal was to make it as authentic as possible.“
